The history we know starts in 1742 with the birth of Joannes GĄDEK in the village of Targowisko, at South East of Krakow, in the district of Kłaj.

He married Elisabeth WŁODARCZYK, born also at Targowisko in the years 1770.

They had  5 children:

• Nicolas GĄDEK (1802)

• Elisabeth GĄDEK (1819)

• Stephan GĄDEK (1831)

 

Nicolas GĄDEK married Catharina  KORPALA in 1827.

Catharina KORPALA was the daughter of Stephanus KORPALA (1774)
and Regina RZEPKA (1775) both from Targowisko.

They had 10 children:

Stephan GĄDEK married Rozalia WOJTOWICZ on June, 5, 1859.

Rozalia WOJTOWICZ was the daughter of Stanilas WOJTOWICZ (1808)
and Catharina KOWALSKA (1812) both from Targowisko.

They had  9 children:

Juliana GĄDEK married Jan DZIEDZIC on February, 25, 1892.

Jan DZIEDZIC was the son of  Adalberti DZIEDZIC and Agatha SAMEK
both from Targowisko

They had 12 children

Marianna GĄDEK had a boy named Andrzej, born on January, 12, 1888.
It seems that she died just after delivering.
Her sister, Juliana took care of the baby.
